The work explores some of the properties of the structured wireless sensor networks when sensors have very small activeness such as the network is oriented onto detecting rare events. A typical example of such networks could be networks for emergencies detection. It is suppose that the network consists with three types of objects with sensors and total number of sensors is hundreds of thousands or millions of items. All sensors use a common signal channel to unsynchronized transmission of their individual code. Based on the studies, it has been established that to minimize the time of detection of active sensors, it is necessary to use variable length codes of sensors, taking into account the number of objects of different types and the probability of sensor activity on objects.
